Participation in the ICMDIE-26 Conference on Migration, Diaspora, and Integration in Europe
On January 30, 2026, an international conference was held in Athens. It was organized by the international platform Science Leagues, which closely collaborates with WoS, Google Scholar, and top-ranked global journals in numerous fields, including migration, medicine, progressive technologies, and more. The aim of this conference, like many others, was collaboration and innovation, facilitating conversations that challenge norms, spark discoveries, and address critical scientific and societal challenges.
The conference brought together over 50 researchers from many countries (four continents). Countries represented included Zambia, Morocco, Croatia, Malaysia, Australia, Georgia, and Kazakhstan.
The topic presented by Wojciech M. Marchwica in the section "Reduced Inequalities" was Challenges and Opportunities for Migrations into Europe: The Case of the IFU Project. (The presentation can be viewed here.) The presentation emphasized the importance of addressing immigrant problems through vocational education, as demonstrated during the implementation of a project coordinated by the Perspektywy Education Foundation, Incubating Freedom for Ukraine. The conference highlighted the importance of the IFU project's main outcome: the publication of the compendium Strategy for Ukrainian Refugees Through Education in IT and 4.0 Industry Area, Across EU Countries. This publication was made available in digital format to all conference participants.
